Kilimanjaro on the hut route
Marangu is the only route on Kilimanjaro with huts all the way up, so every night you sleep under a roof, in a bed, not in a tent. The programme has 6 days on the mountain, one of them for acclimatisation at Horombo Hut, at 3,720 m. The goal is Uhuru Peak, at 5,895 m, the highest point in Africa.
Besides the 6 days of climbing, the trip covers the day you arrive in Tanzania, 12 September, and the day you leave, 19 September, with a hotel in Moshi before and after the mountain.

The extra day at Horombo lets the body get used to the thinner air before summit night. You climb to 4,020 m during the day and come back to sleep at 3,720 m. This lowers the risk of acute mountain sickness (AMS) and improves your chances of reaching the top safely.

Where you sleep
On the mountain you sleep in the huts of the Marangu route: bunk beds with mattresses, in shared dormitories, and a dining hall where hot meals are served. A sleeping bag is not included, so bring your own or rent one.
Hotel in Moshi
The base before and after the climb, on 12 and 18 September, with breakfast included. Moshi is the town at the foot of the mountain, about an hour's drive from Marangu Gate.
Mandara Hut
A-frame wooden cabins in a clearing in the rainforest. The first night on the mountain.
Horombo Hut
The same kind of cabins, on a small plateau looking towards Kibo and Mawenzi. We stay here on the acclimatisation day and come back after the summit.
Kibo Hut
A stone building with dormitories, in the alpine desert of the Saddle. The last stop before summit night.
The crew and safety
The mountain crew is made up of certified, English-speaking guides, cooks and fairly paid porters, who carry the food, water and shared equipment. The guides check your oxygen saturation and pulse with a pulse oximeter twice a day, and the crew carries oxygen bottles and a full first-aid kit.

How payment and the group discount work
The balance can be paid in full or in instalments agreed together, by the date in the card.
The discount applies if, 60 days before departure, the group has reached the threshold in the card, with every participant's deposit paid. It comes off the last payment or instalment, and if you have already paid in full, we refund it by bank transfer within 14 days.
What is holding you back?
The price. You do not pay it all at once: first the deposit, then the balance, in full or in instalments we agree on (the amounts and dates are in the card). If the group reaches 10 participants, you also get the group discount.
See what the price includesThe effort. The programme has acclimatisation days and a pace meant for ordinary people, not athletes. I will tell you honestly whether the tour suits you and how to prepare.
